Pup-sonality:
Meet Buddee!

Buddee is a lovable Mini Aussie who’s looking for his forever home. Despite being heartworm positive, Buddee is on the road to recovery and is still the happiest little guy you’ll ever meet.

Personality:

Buddee is a total cuddle bug who adores being near his humans. He’s super smart and doesn’t let his blindness hold him back—he can navigate stairs and new spaces once he has been given the opportunity to “feel out” the space, like a pro! Buddee is friendly with strangers, often greeting them with excited jumps and tail wags. With kids, he’s generally indifferent but happy to accept gentle pets and cuddles.

 Training & Habits:

Crate-Trained: Yes, although he needs some encouragement to go in. Once settled, he’ll calm down quickly.

House-Trained: Absolutely!

Commands Known: Sit (and he’s eager to learn more).

Leash & Travel: A perfect gentleman on leash and loves car rides and walks to explore him surroundings.

Interactions with Other Animals:

Buddee has been the only dog in his foster home. He’s a little unsure around other dogs, especially if they move suddenly, but that’s due to him not being able to see them, so he uses his other senses to communicate with dogs. As for cats, he’s curious and may give chase, so a cat-free home is best.

Ideal Home:

Buddee would in a calm, loving household where he can soak up all the attention. He loves walks, cuddles, and just being near his people.

Why You’ll Love Buddee:

His joy and resilience are truly inspiring. Despite his blindness, Buddee navigates life with enthusiasm and affection. He’s ready to be someone’s loyal companion and best friend.

If you’re looking for a sweet, smart, and snuggly boy to be your constant shadow and fill your days with joy, Buddee is the one for you!

Medical Note: Buddee has recovered from heartworm disease. The adopters MUST agree to keep Buddee on Multi Advantage monthly, year round for the rest of his life, so that he does not get re-infected by heartworm. A dog that gets infected with heartworm disease twice in the life can experience significant damage to their heart, lungs, and other organs. Buddee received a Pro Heart 12 injection on January 14, 2026.

Buddee does not have eyes, but he gets around well. Buddee’s adopters will need to ensure that his home and play areas are obstacle free (ex. no holes in the yard, etc.).
