-If there are children in the home, they must be at least 8 years old and respectful of a dog’s boundaries
-Binkie’s home must have a fully secured fenced yard (no apartments)
Pup-sonality:
As just a young pup, Binkie is a charming Chihuahua mix bursting with personality, affection, and playful energy. This sweet girl is the perfect blend of cuddle bug and lively companion—always ready to snuggle up in your lap or dash around chasing her favorite toys.
When it’s playtime, Binkie shines! Whether she’s fetching toys, or zooming around outside, her playful antics are guaranteed to make you smile. She’s also great with other animals—she gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes and does well with cats, making her a fantastic addition to multi-pet homes.
Binkie is crate-trained and settles well when left alone for short periods (2–4 hours). She’s currently working on her house training and is making good progress with routine and support. She’s a smart girl who already comes when called and is continuing to build her basic manners.
While Binkie can be a little shy when meeting new people, she warms up quickly once she feels safe—and before long, she’ll be showing off her affectionate, playful personality.
She enjoys car rides, behaves well at the vet, and has a happy, easygoing nature that makes her adaptable to many lifestyles.

Medical Note: Binkie received a Pro Heart 12 injection on May 7, 2026. Pro Heart 12 protects against heartworm disease for 12 months. She will only require Nexguard each month for flea/tick prevention until April 2027. For May 2027, she will require a new prescription for Nexguard and Heartguard or Advantage Multi for year-round ongoing preventative treatment.

All dogs available for adoption with Second Chance Animal Rescue Windsor-Essex come fully vaccinated, including lepto, spayed/neutered, microchipped, and heartworm tested (and are on heartworm/flea preventative while in our care). At adoption, adopters receive a 6-week free trial of pet insurance.
SCAR cannot adopt animals to the United States and we can only adopt within a 200 km radius of Windsor, Ontario. Please do not apply if you do not live in Ontario, within 200 kms of Windsor.
