Pup-sonality:
SCAR interviewed Tabi to see what her pup-sonality is all about!
SCAR: Tabi, what is your best quality?
Tabi: I LOVE to be loved and have all of the attention. Mind you, I do love to play with other dogs who like high-energy dogs like me.
SCAR: We are going to play a game of lightning round where we ask you to choose your favourite. The first one is, Netflix or agility?
Tabi: Agility ALL THE WAY, and I bet I would put some of these other dogs to shame with how fast I can run, even with a short back leg!
SCAR: You sound pretty confident in yourself.
Tabi: Well, a girl that has been abused in her past must always move forward and look towards the brighter things in life. I don’t let things, like a short leg, hold me back!
SCAR: Very well said, Tabi. Second is squeaky toy or plushie toy?
Tabi: Squeaky for sure! The louder, the better, in my opinion.
SCAR: Crate or bed?
Tabi: Well, I really like to sleep on the big bed, but I can’t quite be trusted not to have an accident yet, so I sleep in a crate at night. The crate is nice, my foster Mom makes it all comfy in there for me.
SCAR: Mischievous or laid back?
Tabi: I’d have to say mischievous. I’m still young and learning, but with consistency and patience, I will grow and become a super dog for the right family.
SCAR: Dogs or cats?
Tabi: I’m not too sure about cats, so I think dogs. I see cats outside and really want to chase them, they really remind me of those furry little critters with the long fuzzy tails. I really like playing with other dogs, so that’s my answer.
SCAR: Fetching or couch potato?
Tabi: I love a good game of fetch and will bring it back about 75% of the time. I’m sure I’ll get that percentage up over time.
SCAR: Ok, Tabi, could you describe your perfect forever home for us?
Tabi: I would have to say, a family with LOTS of energy to match all of my energy. A family interested in putting me through agility courses/training for mind and body exercises. A family with lots of patience to help me continue my house-training, and won’t get angry if I have an accident. A family that does not have really young kids because I can get pretty excited sometimes, and I like to steal snacks even though I’m not supposed to. I would love a great big yard to have my daily zoomies in, and a family able to continue my leash training for walkies. But, most of all, I just want a family that loves me and treats me like a member of the family. I really hope there’s a family out there for me, ready to play and cuddle and just have a really great time together.
SCAR: Thank you, Tabi. We’re sure you will find the perfect home!
Medical Note: Tabi was given Pro Heart 12 on June 20, 2023 (this medication protects against heartworm disease for 12 months) and therefore only requires Nexguard each month for flea/tick prevention until May 2024. She is currently receiving Nexguard monthly. For June 2024, she will require a new prescription of Nexguard and Heartguard or Advantage Multi for year-round ongoing preventative treatment.
