Pup-sonality:
Are you looking for a new coworker, ‘cuz I am applying for the job! My name is Stan and I have lots of experience cuddling as a team and playing independently with my toys.
My skills include walking well on a leash, mastering commands such as sit and down, and going potty outside (although I may have an accident now and again). My current coworker describes me as very loving with an obedient personality (they’re always getting compliments on my work). I enjoy a strong bond with my coworkers and would really thrive in an environment where we can work as a team 24/7 – I want to be with you as much as possible.
I really like to go for nice long walks, to enjoy the sights and smells of the outdoors. I like to play and run around in the yard at home and enjoy company when they come over. What can I say, I get along with everyone. I haven’t been around cat coworkers yet, so I’m not sure how we’d mesh. When it comes to kids, I love them all, but I do often have my mouth open when I’m excited so I wouldn’t want to be responsible for a workplace accident if they’re too little.
I love, love, love to sit as close to my coworkers as possible, snuggling and sharing ideas. However, if you have a meeting or are too busy, I will happily hang out on my bed and keep busy with a chew toy. Speaking of chew toys, please make sure there are plenty available as I may need to ‘borrow’ a sock as a replacement every now and again.
So, if there’s an opening for a super skilled, super cuddly, make-you-happy-every-day pup at your place, then apply to adopt me today so we can get together and make something great!
Medical Note: Stan must remain on Urine S/O (urinary care) food as it was discovered when he entered SCAR’s care that he was experiencing urinary crystals. With medication and the prescription food, he has not experienced a recurrence of crystals.
Stan was given Pro Heart 12 on February 8, 2023 (this medication protects against heartworm disease for 12 months) and therefore only requires Nexguard each month for flea/tick prevention until January 2024. He is currently receiving Nexguard monthly. For February 2024, he will require a new prescription of Nexguard and Heartguard or Advantage Multi for year-round ongoing preventative treatment.
Donate towards Stan’s foster home and vet care!
All dogs available for adoption with Second Chance Animal Rescue Windsor-Essex come fully vaccinated, including lepto, spayed/neutered, microchipped, and heartworm tested (and are on heartworm/flea preventative while in our care). At adoption, adopters receive a 6-week free trial of pet insurance.
SCAR cannot adopt animals to the United States and we can only adopt within a 200 km radius of Windsor, Ontario. Please do not apply if you do not live in Ontario, within 200 kms of Windsor.
