Sadie here and I am looking for my forever home. I am a gentle, happy girl who loves to play and go for walks with my family.

I am super smart and already know how to sit, stay, come when called, and heel. I’m ready to learn as many commands as my humans want to teach me. I am house-trained and listen well. I can be anxious sometimes when my humans are leaving but a trusty dog-sibling helps me to feel a little less anxious and confident. I don’t like to be in a crate but I am not destructive while my humans are away.

I love all dogs and humans that I have met so far and love meeting people while out for my walks. I have previously lived with cats and farm animals and we all got along well, except for those feathered ones! I enjoy car rides and going to new places where I can smell all the things. When at home, I always want to be with you and will follow you around to see what you might be doing. I want to cuddle with you and snuggle with my dog-siblings. I am looking for a fun, active home full of love and all of the good things that come with a wonderful forever family.

Medical note: Sadie has had a mammary tumor removed which was due to a blockage of the mammary gland duct from untreated/chronic inflammation. There was no evidence of neoplasm in the histologic sections. When Sadie was given a 4dx test for heartworm, the test showed light positive in the last 30 seconds of the test. After discussions with our vet, it was decided that Sadie would be given Pro Heart 12 then retested in 1 year. Sadie was given Pro Heart 12 on September 21, 2021 (this medication protects from heartworm recurrence for 12 months) and therefore only requires Nexguard each month for flea/tick preventative until August 2022. In September 2022, she will require a new prescription of Nexguard and Heartguard or Advantage Multi for year-round ongoing treatment if she tests negative at that time. If Sadie tests positive for heartworm in September 2022, SCAR will cover treatment at our veterinarian clinic.
