My name is Noisette and I am a beautiful independent woman with a lot to say. I am a goofy, loveable gal and I absolutely love hanging out with my people.
I was taken in by an awesome foster family when it was thought that I might be sick. I’m here to say that the vet has given me a clean bill of health and I’m ready to enjoy my new life!
I am a dog of routine and like to go outside at certain times to do my business. I can be taught a new routine, but it may take some patience to sort out. Otherwise, there may be an accident or two, but I am house-trained if we can get the timing right. I am not destructive and don’t really play with toys. I really just want to hang out and chill.
I love going for walks! Just watch me do my little dance! As a Beagle, the smells of new places just send me to the moon. I like to see and smell all the things, and of course, meet lots of new friends. So far, I’ve liked every dog and human that I’ve met. I am indifferent to cats, we can coexist but I’m not really interested in what they’re doing. I like to be petted and groomed and hugged and kissed, just any sort of affection is my jam.
I know some commands, and am willing to learn more. I can sit and come when called. If you want to take me for a car ride, I am totally ready to be your co-pilot. When the day is done and we’re done all of our activities for the day, I’m happy to chill in my bed and either hang with my people or have a nap.
I am just an all-around good girl waiting for the right home to rest my head. If you’ve got an extra pillow for me, apply to adopt me today!
Medical Note: Noisette was given Pro Heart 12 on October 4, 2023 (this medication protects against heartworm disease for 12 months) and therefore only requires Nexguard each month for flea/tick prevention until September 2024. For October 2024, she will require a new prescription of Nexguard and Heartguard or Advantage Multi for year-round ongoing preventative treatment.
Noisette had 5 molars removed along with a full teeth cleaning and polishing. She had some blood in her urine when she came into the rescue but all testing has found no evidence of stones. As a precaution, she is being fed UI food to ensure that no stones will develop and she should continue to be fed UI food.
All dogs available for adoption with Second Chance Animal Rescue Windsor-Essex come fully vaccinated, including lepto, spayed/neutered, microchipped, and heartworm tested (and are on heartworm/flea preventative while in our care). At adoption, adopters receive a 6-week free trial of pet insurance.
SCAR cannot adopt animals to the United States and we can only adopt within a 200 km radius of Windsor, Ontario. Please do not apply if you do not live in Ontario, within 200 kms of Windsor.
