Pup-sonality:
Marley is a handsome white Standard Poodle/St. Bernard mix. He currently weighs 86 lbs and is a healthy weight but should not gain much more weight. Marley’s mix of breeds is known as a St. Berdoodle but we would like to be clear that he is not a purebred, this is just a name given to a particular breed mix, like all Doodles. He would be best suited in a very quiet, calm home.

MARLEY’S PAST LIFE:

Marley came to us from a life of being a kenneled breeding dog in a large-scale breeding for profit facility. He had no exposure to the world outside of the kennel, had no socialization to people other than the kennel owners and experienced nothing in his life but an overcrowded, loud, barn. Marley’s only purpose in life was to breed and make money for his “owner”. His whole world for his life until recently was a 10×10 kennel.

Marley’s life changed for the better the moment that he came into our foster care. He has come a long way in his foster home and is at the point of being ready to move on to his forever home!

We want to make very clear that Marley NEEDS a SECURE 6ft+ wooden fenced back yard with absolutely NO small holes or gaps for escape routes. We will NOT entertain any apps that DO NOT have ALL of the requirements he needs, due to his safety and wellbeing.

MARLEY’S WANTS AND NEEDS:

Psst, Marley here. I’m a pretty shy fella so I don’t want to interrupt. Since you’re here, let me tell you about all of the things that I love.

I love to follow people around. No matter where they go, to the kitchen, into the backyard, whatever they might be doing, I want to be right alongside them. I do tend to gravitate more towards patient and kind men and will often listen better to men while showing my stubborn side to women. I love to take naps in a quiet, safe spot where I know I can get comfortable. I’m a pretty big guy so I don’t really like a couch, but a nice big dog bed suits me just fine. I love to get petted and snuggled, and if you want to brush me, that’s great too. I have fluffy white fur that needs taking care of, so a nice brushing or cleaning to keep it nice and white is a-ok. I love to go for walks and car rides, I’m oh-so-good on my leash. I’d like someone who can walk me every day in a not-so-busy area. I love meal time and treat time and will show you how good I am for a little bit of yummy food.

I am house-trained and know to do my business outside. I do like to be inside my crate for a few hours or less as it feels safe when the humans are away. I don’t bark very much, I do like a quiet environment after all. I do like to play with toys, but am very gentle with them. Some people may think I’m part cat since I like to nap so much, but what can I say, a nice warm spot and a comfy bed is just too irresistible. I don’t think I should live in a home with humans that are too small as they can be a little noisy for me.

If you have a nice, quiet home with a nice, comfy bed you’re not using, I’d love to fill that spot. Apply to adopt me today and we can share some snuggles together.

Love, Marley
