Daisy here and I am ready to meet my new forever family! You might already know, but I recently had a litter of puppies, but they’re starting to find their forever homes so now it’s my turn.
I am a happy-go-lucky dog, with a slightly mischievous side. I want to play, play, play with my humans and would do best in a home where the humans are there most of the time. I am not destructive while the humans are away, but my boundless energy and high intelligence means I need lots of stimulation to keep me happy. I am fully housetrained but my signals may not be picked up on by someone who doesn’t know me very well. I tend to stand up and put my front paws on you to tell you that it’s time. It’s possible that my new family will find a good way for me to tell them, such as using a bell or special mat.
I like to chew to keep myself busy, so lots of chew toys should be available. I also like to steal a sock every now and again, so a nice snuffle-mat would be a good activity for me. I love to play fetch and tug of war with my humans and wish they could play with me all day long. I like to go for walks to enjoy all those wonderful smells, I just don’t like when it gets too hot, so a nice cool morning and evening walk works well for me. I am just learning to walk on my leash like a good girl but still can’t resist a good scent. I will need some positive reinforcement training to help me walk without pulling or getting too distracted. So far, I can sit, come when called, and lay down and we are working on some other commands.
I am a loving, playful, and loyal companion. I am very sensitive and truly want to be around my humans as much as possible. I get very excited when you wake up in the morning or even when you just come out of another room! I can be a little stubborn at times but I always want to please. A family familiar with Boxers and their care and temperament would be a really great fit for me.
